This is part of a national, non-profit, interfaith ministry committed to uniting the county religious communities and providing shelter, meals, and assistance to homeless families. Currently there are about a dozen congregations that provide space for a maximum of 14 people. Families move weekly on a fixed schedule between houses of worship. Host sites and parish volunteers provide shelter, meals and overnight accomodation to our guests for a week at a time. Our parish volunteers are trained by IHNOC. Interested persons will need compassion, acceptance, and a willingness to provide a safe haven while our guests work and seek permanent affordable housing. Our parish hosts approx. 4 times each year. Volunteers may serve as little as once a year according to their own schedule.
