The Parish of St. Barnabas, along with the Diocese of Trenton, has purchased a gift for the parish. It is a subscription to FORMED, a website dubbed “Catholic Netflix”. It has a large variety of movies for children, families and adults, along with formation programs, bible studies and more in both English and Spanish. Check it out!

It is the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima
In this historical year of the Fatima Centennial, the intention for our Rosary Crusade is to beg God and Our Lady to save America from today’s immorality and secularism. America desperately needs the Rosary and our Lady’s saving message of Fatima. In fact, the current situation of America is like that of Austria and how that country was freed from the chains of communism in 1955. The people were freed by Our Lady because they listened to her. Austrians publicly prayed the Rosary just as Our Lady of Fatima asks us to do today. The Rosary, the “divine solution,” was their answer and will be our answer. More than other year we must pray for peace in our country.
The open door prayer group is sponsoring the Public Square requested by Our Lady. Meet with us for the Public Square Rosary Crusade to be held at the Church, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 12:00 Noon. All are invited to the 4th annual crusade here at St. Barnabas. There will be over 20,000 rallies that will take place all across the United States on that date and time. Please join us in offering reparation for the sins and offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to fervently pray for the conversion of the United States.
All are welcome – Will you join other Catholics on this very important day???
Bishop O'Connell has issued an advisory for the Holy Father's granting
of a Plenary Indulgence for the Fatima Centennial.

Faith in Our Future is a process through which the Diocese of Trenton, its parishes and ministries, will plan to meet challenges and respond to new opportunities for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ for years to come.
Faith in the Future Progress Report: The Cohort Team has just completed its first report to the Bishop’s Commission. Three of the Bishop’s directives were chosen to be worked on. 1. Study the needs of the Hispanic Community within the Cohort and work towards a center for the Hispanics in Southern Ocean County. 2. Identify ministries in each parish, identify their strengths and weaknesses and seek ways that can strengthen each Ministry. 3. Establish regular meetings between leadership groups such as Pastoral Councils, Business Administrators, Youth Directors, facility managers, etc. to collaborate in ministry whenever possible. All three directives will be active during our next year of promoting the Faith in our Future program. It’s a wonderful program and with all the parishioners in the various cohorts participating, it will make a difference in all of our lives. Please continue to pray for the implementation team and its success!
Thank you to all who have attended our Children’s Liturgy of the Word program!
Children's Liturgy of the Word takes place most second Sundays of the month during the 10:30am Mass.
Our next gathering will be October 8th, 2017!
The Liturgy of the Word for Children is an opportunity for children attending the regular Sunday 10:30am Mass (age Kindergarten through fourth grade) to share the Sunday readings, the Profession of Faith, a Reflection, and General intercessions on their level.
The children proceed to our Chapel after the Opening Prayer and return to the Assembly before the Offertory. Parents are welcome to go with their children to the Chapel.
The Liturgy of the Word for Children will be facilitated by our Children’s Liturgy team.
