The children proceed to our Chapel after the Opening Prayer and return to the Assembly before the Offertory. Parents are welcome to go with their children to the Chapel.

The Liturgy of the Word for Children will be facilitated byour Children’s Liturgy team. The next Children’s Liturgyof the word will take place on September 9th. All are welcome.

We hope that our families will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to help our children develop a better understanding of our scriptures.

O God, our Creator, all life is in your hands from conception until death. Help us to cherish our children and to reverence the awesome privilege of our share in creation. May all people live and die in dignity and love. Bless all those who defend the rights of the unborn, the handicapped and the aged. Enlighten and be merciful toward those who fail to love, and give them peace. Let freedom be tempered by responsibility, integrity and morality. We ask this through Christ the Lord

Our Religious Education program is looking for volunteers to be Teachers, Aides, and Hall Monitors, as well as help serve our Whole Community Catechesis Family meals. If you are interested or need more information please contact Mary at extension 128, or Stephanie at extension 132.

Shop Rite Gift Cards are available at the gift store and in the vestibule of the Church after all weekend Masses.  ** St. Barnabas will earn a 5% profit for every card we sell. These funds will be used to lower our outstanding debts. Thank you for support!

Faith in the Future Progress Report: The Cohort Team has just completed its first report to the Bishop’s Commission.  Three of the Bishop’s directives were chosen to be worked on.  1. Study the needs of the Hispanic Community within the Cohort and work towards a center for the Hispanics in Southern Ocean County.  2. Identify ministries in each parish, identify their strengths and weaknesses and seek ways that can strengthen each Ministry. 3.  Establish regular meetings between leadership groups such as Pastoral Councils, Business Administrators, Youth Directors, facility managers, etc. to collaborate in ministry whenever possible.  All three directives will be active during our next year of promoting the Faith in our Future program.  It’s a wonderful program and with all the parishioners in the various cohorts participating, it will  make a difference in all of our lives.  Please continue to pray for the implementation team and its success!
