Baptism is the sacrament of belonging to, and membership in the Church, which is the Body of Christ. In the celebration of Baptism God shares with us the gift of His own Divine Life.

New members are welcomed into the community of faith at St. Barnabas each week. Baptism is celebrated at 2:00 PM on Sundays. Parents of infants to be baptized need to be registered in the parish and have attended the Baptism Preparation Class.

Children ages 7 and 17 are prepared in the Religious Education Program and those adults who are over 17 are prepared in the RCIA Program.

Godparents must have a letter or certificate of eligibility from their home parish to serve as a sponsor. St. Barnabas parishioners must be registered in the parish to obtain a godparent sponsor certificate.
