UPDATE!

Faith in the Future Progress Report: The Implementation Team is laying the ground work so that we can begin the process of collaboration on July 1, 2017.  The Bishop has given us the following principles and priorities--- Evangelization, Collaboration, assuring parishes working together to make the spiritual and pastoral needs are met for the people, Stewardship, make sure the “best practices” are used to make more with less, Accountability, to assure transparency in all parishes, and finally, out-reach ministries to serve the needs of our young people, the sick, elderly, poor, the immigrant, etc.

Progress reports will appear in the bulletin and web-site so that all the parishioners of cohort 25, (St. Barnabas, St. Pius X, St. Mary’s, St. Francis, St. Theresa) will be well informed on what is happening in the process of collaborating with these parishes.  Your prayers are truly needed.

Thank you to all who have attended our Children’s Liturgy of the Word program!

Children's Liturgy of the Word takes place most second Sundays of the month during the 10:30am Mass.

Our next gathering will be Sunday, May 14th

The Liturgy of the Word for Children is an opportunity for children attending the regular Sunday 10:30am Mass (age Kindergarten through fourth grade) to share the Sunday readings, the Profession of Faith, a Reflection, and General intercessions on their level.

The children proceed to our Chapel after the Opening Prayer and return to the Assembly before the Offertory.  Parents are welcome to go with their children to the Chapel.

The Liturgy of the Word for Children will be facilitated by our Children’s Liturgy team.

***Winter is a particularly challenging time for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in our Chapel, not only due to weather, but also because many of our Adorers are snowbirds. It is a time when we heavily depend on substitutes to cover open hours. Please consider being one of our substitutes, even if it is for a short time. All efforts are greatly appreciated. Eucharist Adoration at St. Barnabas takes place in the Chapel Mon-Fri 7am-7pm & Sat.-Sun. 7am-Noon.

If you would like to the Honor of being an Adorer for one of the open hours listed below, or to be added to our Substitute List, call 732-269-2208 X313 and leave a message.

Holy Hours presently in need of an Adorer are:

Wednesday: Noon to 1pm

Friday:  Noon to 1pm & 5pm to 6pm

Sunday: 9am to 10am

Shop Rite Gift Cards are available at the gift store and in the vestibule of the Church after all weekend Masses.  ** St. Barnabas will earn a 5% profit for every card we sell. These funds will be used to lower our outstanding debts. Thank you for support!
